You Already Have Buy Now, Pay Later. You're Just Not Showing It.

If Shopify Payments is on, Shop Pay Installments is probably already live at your checkout. Here's how to confirm it and promote it before the holidays.

How to confirm it’s on — and get it in front of shoppers

  1. Confirm it’s enabled. In Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments and check that Shop Pay Installments is turned on alongside Shopify Payments. For most US, Canadian, UK and Australian stores already on Shopify Payments, it’s on by default — still worth a 30-second check.
  2. Know the eligibility window. Shop Pay Installments only shows for orders in that $35–$30,000 US range (Shop Help Center). If your average order sits below $35, promoting it will undersell what shoppers actually see.
  3. Add your own promotional line. Shopify’s native “pay in 4 interest-free installments” messaging on product pages is a theme snippet, built for stores running a Shopify theme (Shopify Community). It won’t appear on a WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Webflow page where your Buy Button lives. Add one line of your own copy near the button instead, something like “4 interest-free payments available at checkout,” styled to match your site.
